The Beyond the Form team is excited to release a White Paper on two-way communication strategies, prepared by Matilda Hass and Rosie Brown from Australian Genomics. This project was a rapid review of both published and grey literature that assessed strategies used to facilitate communication between research teams and research participants.
While there was little Australian research published on this topic, there were useful findings from overseas research that show there are high value but achievable ways to improve tw0-way communication.
The findings of this White Paper will inform the larger Beyond the Form project. The project team is currently gathering insights from clinical research teams and participants on preferences and barriers to effective communication strategies. The output of the project as a whole will be to develop a toolkit to help facilitate Australian research that shows respect for participants throughout their clinical research journey.
