CT:IQ is delighted to welcome AKTN to the Steering Committee

Based at the Princess Alexandra Hospital campus in Woolloongabba, the Australasian Kidney Trials Network (AKTN) operates under the Faculty of Health, Medicine and Behavioural Sciences at the University of Queensland. As a not-for-profit research organisation, AKTN designs, conducts and supports investigator-initiated clinical trials aimed at improving life for people living with Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD).

With a collaborative network of nephrologists, nurses, researchers, dietitians, scientists, consumer representatives, and health economists, AKTN ensures that the voices and experiences of people with kidney disease are central to every trial. Their research brings evidence into practice and continues to shape better treatments and outcomes for CKD patients across Australasia and beyond.

We look forward to working together to strengthen the clinical trials ecosystem in Australia and advance participant-centred research.
